How can I find out who's calling?
VoicePulse offers advanced CallerID features you won't find elsewhere.
When someone calls your VoicePulse phone, their CallerID information is sent as
your phone is ringing so you can identify the caller before you pick up the
phone. This functionality requires that you have a telephone with
built-in CallerID capability and a display or an external CallerID box with a
display.
Incoming CallerID with Name
VoicePulse was the first provider to offer incoming CallerID with name!
Due to technical differences between traditional phone service and broadband
phone service, providing incoming CallerID to customers is a challenge.
VoicePulse was the first provider to offer this feature to all customers, even
our
Open Access Softphone customers!
When your VoicePulse phone rings, you will see the caller's name and number on
your CallerID display. Many of our features are based on the incoming CallerID
information:
-
Using the Contact Lists
feature, you can customize what shows up on your CallerID display. For example,
you can have "MOM" show up on the display instead of "SMITH, JANE".
-
If the caller has blocked their CallerID information (as many telemarketers
do), you can block those calls with Anonymous
Call Block and Telemarketer
Block.
-
If your phone supports Call Waiting with CallerID
, you will see the CallerID information for an incoming call even if you are
already on a phone call.
-
Incoming CallerID with Name works on Open
Access accounts too!
Outgoing CallerID
When you make a call with your VoicePulse phone, your phone number is sent
along with your call so the recipient can identify you.
-
You can set your outgoing CallerID number on-the-fly! In addition to the
default number (the same as the incoming number on that line), you
can choose any of your Virtual
Numbers or primary numbers on other
Additional Lines to be shown.
-
You can block your CallerID number from being sent on a per-call basis by
dialing *67
before dialing.
-
You can permanently block your CallerID from being sent by turning on
CallerID Block in the Account
Center.
-
If you have CallerID Block turned on, you can dial *82 to unblock your
CallerID information on a per-call basis.
CallerID is Free with VoicePulse

in every plan for free. Not only that, with
Contact Lists, you have control over your CallerID like never before!
