Christopher Y. Silk

President & CEO

Chris Silk has a unique combination of Fortune 500 and Small Business/Start-Up experience. Chris has worked with several Fortune 500 companies including Verizon, MCI, SBC and WorldCom; he spent over five years working at UUNET (a WorldCom company) in various Executive Leadership roles, including Vice President of Sales in Canada and Director of Sales and Marketing (European Business Development) where he helped to establish operations in eight countries. Chris also held the position of Chief Operations Officer at Versatel Internet Group (Amsterdam Holland) where he was responsible for daily operations at six internet companies in three countries. After his tenure at Versatel, Chris was Vice President of Sales and Customer Service at InQuent Technologies (an SBC company based in Toronto, Canada). Chris has also held leadership positions with Verizon, MCI and NeuStar.

In addition, Chris was CEO of a small private cable company with 20 employees. As CEO, Chris worked with several investors to fund the business and to identify potential joint venture partners and acquisition targets. During his tenure, Chris worked on several acquisitions as the “Mom & Pop” Private Cable industry evolved into consolidation. More recently, Chris worked in Charlotte, NC as an intermediary in mergers and acquisitions, and funding for transactions involving change of ownership.

Chris has a BS degree in Telecommunications Management from Syracuse University. He is married with two daughters in middle school; he is also a basketball and girls fastpitch softball coach. Chris is an avid runner and a big fan of music, movies, art and the Boston Red Sox.

Mark A. Carter

Chief Financial Officer

Mark A. Carter is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with broad experience in finance, accounting, audit, investigations and internal controls. He was a founder and Chief Financial and Operations Officer of CoreFacts, LLC, a high technology investigations and litigation support company. He developed and implemented all financial and operational support systems.

Mr. Carter spent eleven years with Bell Atlantic Corporation that began in internal auditing where he eventually headed a group responsible for assessing risks, developing plans, and executing financial and operational audits. Later, as the head of worldwide security, he established programs to investigate and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse and served as a key participant in establishing a corporate ethics and compliance program. He was selected for a Fellowship for The Brookings Institution, spent a year as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Scott Klug, (R, WI) and has experience as a Special Agent Accountant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigating white collar crime.

Mr. Carter has developed and presented classes on financial fraud and computer forensics; he has testified in federal court both as an accounting expert and as a computer forensics expert; and he has appeared on CNN's television show, "Burden of Proof" as an expert in white collar crime. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Troy University and he is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia.

Ketan Patel

Co-founder, Executive Vice President & COO

Ketan Patel is an engineer with over 10 years of experience with technologies including enterprise web solutions, e-commerce, data warehousing and interoperability. His vision to revolutionize the end user experience drives the web and feature development of VoicePulse's award-winning service.

Patel manages all of VoicePulse’s in-house software development teams, marketing and public relations teams, and shares responsibility for strategic planning, management and day-to-day operations.

Ravi Sakaria

Chairman of the Board

Company co-founder, Ravi Sakaria, served as VoicePulse’s President & CEO for more than six years. Sakaria is a veteran technologist with over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field, and is an expert in the areas of network engineering and information security. Under his leadership, VoicePulse has realized continuous revenue growth and profitability since its inception. In his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sakaria focuses on VoicePulse’s overall direction and strategic planning.
