Is VoicePulse available in my area?
While VoicePulse service can be used anywhere there is a broadband
Internet connection, there are usually some things our customers look for:
Can I have a phone number in my area code?
A phone number in your current area code is useful so your friends & family
that haven't switched to VoicePulse yet can continue to call you without having
to call long distance. If you're using VoicePulse to save on long distance or
international calls only, this might not be a requirement. With VoicePulse, you
can pick your own phone number, which means it doesn't have to be in the
same area code as where you live. If most of your family is in New York and you
live in California now, you can still have a New York number (or both!) so your
friends can continue to call you for free.
If VoicePulse doesn't offer phone numbers in your area code, don't worry, we
will soon! Make sure to sign up for a notification because your requests
influence the areas we choose to offer service in next! Use the "Notify Me" tool
to sign up for a notification and get $20 off your future order.
Can I move my current phone number to VoicePulse?
In select areas, we offer the ability to have a seamless transfer of your
current phone number from your traditional telephone provider to VoicePulse.
This service, Local Number Portability (LNP), may not be available in all
areas. Use the "Check Portability" tool to see if LNP is available for
your phone number. Transferring your number to VoicePulse is a long
process due to factors that are out of your control as well as ours.
There are many companies involved in the process and any one company can delay
the process by a few weeks. We encourage customers to sign up
and begin using their VoicePulse service during the trial period before
starting the transfer process. Once the process has been started it
cannot be stopped and you must wait until the process has been
completed or you risk losing your number.
